Mr. and Mrs. R. Orton, of Wanganui, are visitors to Auckland. Mrs. Gilbert Pearce, of Wanganui, is in Auckland and is the guest of Mrs. Wake. Mrs. E. H. Little, of Devonport, is visiting Sir John and Lady Luke in Wellington. Mrs. E. H. Brewer and Mrs. R. Carter left Feilding on Monday to motor through the North Island to Auckland. Thsy will spend a holiday here. Miss Agnes White, formerly of St. Helens Hospital, Auckland, has been appointed theatre sister on the staff of the Palmerston North Hospital and has taken up her duties. Mrs. S. G. Lundon, accompanied by her little daughter Kathleen, leaves Auckland next Friday by the Marama on her return to Singapqi'e. Mrs. Lundon has left her son at King’s College. She intends spending about 10 days in Sydney before proceeding tq Singapore.
