ATTORNEY TO ASSURANCE CO. An appointment of note in Auckland business circles is that of Mr. David Pollok, of this city, as attorney for Australia and New Zealand for the Legal and General Assurance Society, Ltd., of London. This society has been established for nearly a hundred years and its funds total £22.000.000. In order to devote all his time to the attorneyship Mr. Pollok has resigned from the Dominion Investment and Banking Association and also from the Xorthern Co-operative Terminating Building Society. He will assume his new duties toward the end of this month.
