FRIENDLY SOCIETY TOURNEY The third annual full rink tournaI ment of the Auckland Friendly Sociei ties’ Indoor Bowling Association will be held on June 8 and 15, play starting each day at 1.30 p.m. The Ponsonby Drill Hall, which has the largest wooden floor in the city, has been engaged, and visitors will be cordially welcome. Great progress is still being made, four new lodges having affiliated already this season, and several others will affiliate in time for the next tourney. The new lodges will be represented as follows: Taka puna A.0.F., 2 teams; Avondale 1.0.0. F., 1 team; El- | lerslie 1.0.0. F., 2 teams; Epsom 1.0.0. F., 2 teams. A record total of 36 entries has been received, which is very satisfactory when so many lodges have had to cut down entries through having so many ' members down with influenza.
