HOW CITY FUNDS STAND "ORIEFLY, this is the state of the city accounts: The general account has now a deficit of £14,736, but with the increased general irate it is estimated to be in credit by £1,407 by the end of this year. The y account, now in credit £1,636, will be down £1,589. Water account shows £19,801 deficit, a r>d will be down by £20,532 at March next. The only other account in credit now is sanitation, which is estimated to retain £214 in hand this year. Hospital account has a deficit of £1,967, and its estimated deficit for this financial term is £1,621.. Drainage account is down by £1,823, and its budget for the current year shows it improved to a deficit of £209. Interest account has a debit balance of £277, which is estimated to be transformed into a credit of £2,518. Expenditure during the year in all accounts exceeded revenue by £37,166. For the current year, revenue is estimated to be £16.800 mol e than expenditure.
