Farmers on Tour The South Taranaki farmers’ excursion arrived by special train last evening. A Smart Passage After a smart passage of 17 days, the New Zealand Shipping Company s new motor-ship Rangitiki arrived a! Panama on Wednesday last, according to a cable received by the company. The liner left Wellington on May 12, and the passage to Panama, which is 6,541 miles, was done at an average speed of 14 knots. As the vessel is new and her engines have not yet had time to work themselves in, her speed to Panama gives an excellent idea what she will be capable of doing later. * * * Motor-cyclist Hurt When riding ' into town this morning along the Alanukau Road, William Charles Dickson and his brother, „n motor-cycle, came into collision with a motor-car as it turned out of Queen Alary Avenue, Epsom.
