OCCUPIER’S HURRIED EXIT Press Association PALMERSTON N„ Today. Awakened shortly after six o’clock this morning, with smoke in his room, Norman MacDonald, fruiterer and confectioner, found the rear of his premises in Rangitikei Street ablaze. He had just sufficient time to make a hurried exit through the window. The rear portion of the premises was gutted, but the front escaped with slight damage. The building was insured for £•><)•'. the occupiers' personal effects £75, and stock. £195.
