NEW WHALING SHIP
BUILT AT BELFAST FOR NORWEGIAN OWNERS TO GO TO ANTARCTIC British Official Wireless Reed. 11 a.m. LONDON, Thursday. Workman and Clark’s, Belfast, launched the whaling factory ship Kosmos for Norwegian owners. Thq vessel will be employed in the Antarctic. It is the first ship specially built for a whaling factory, and is of 32,000 tons displacement. It is 550 feet in length, accommodating 300 persons.
