HUNTLY TOWN BOARD

Three building permits were granted at The ordinary meeting of the Huntly Town Board last evening. The Waikato Hospital Board advised that Huntly’s shares of the levy would be £233 12s 9d, an increase of £32 15s 9d, due to revaluation and subsequent increase of capital value. Official intimation was received regarding the Huntly representative on the Central Power Board, and it was decided to hold the election if possible on August 24. A strong protest was entered against a growing practice of contractors dumping materials for the buildings in the water tables.
