THE general tone on ’Change is excellent and numerous sales are being transacted. New Zealand Insurance have improved to sales -47 s 3d. few shares offering. New Zealand Breweries are selling freely at increased figures.

South Wales, New Zealands and Union of Australia are receiving most attention at present. The insurance section is again active and good buying is being recorded. Nationals have changed hands at 16s 3d, leaving a firm market. South British have eager buyers at 655. «: <* « Brewery shares are receiving considerable attention. Innes Pref. are asked for at 20s, but fail to draw sellers. New Zealands are selling at 69s 3d, while Staples have persistent buyers at 475, but fail to attract Sellers under 4Ss. * * • In the miscellaneous. Australian Iron and Steel (pref.) have buyers at 21s 3d. British Tobacco are firm at about 49s 6d. Bycroft have many buyers at 30s. Dominion Pictures, both issues, are asked for at 20s 6d, but fail to attract sellers. N.Z. Paper Mills are receiving more attention and have improved to buyers IDs ex div.; no shares offering.
