Obituary

MRS. S. E. HAMMOND Mrs. Sarah Eliza Hammond, who died at the home of her son at Takapuna yesterday, at tlie age of 86, was married in England to Mr. Thomas Hammond, and came to New Zealand in 1565, settling at Devonport. Mr. Hammond, who died in 1901, was related to the Hammond family of pioneers who established the brickworks in Stanley Bay about 1848. M.rs. Hammond is survived by one son and i\v»> daughters.
