The Prime Minister, speaking to a vast crowd in Hyde Park, delivered an Empire Day message, which was broadcast by wireless throughout Great Britain to all parts of the Empire. In allusion to India, he said: “We all wait with hope and confidence the conclusion of the momentous inquiry now proceeding—with confidence in the determination to find under providence a true path, in the hope that goodwill and public spirit may find a response in the loyal heart of India.
