Three Bowls for Pairs
YORKSHIRE MATCH COMMENCED LONDON, Sunday. The South African cricketers have comenced a match against Yorkshire at Sheffield. In their first innings the South Africans made 362 for five wickets (Mitchell 101, Siedle 168).
Something bordering on a revolution was proposed by a well-known Wellington bowler at this week’s meeting of the Wellington Bowling Centre. He moved that it be a recommendation to the Dominion Council that, in future pairs competitions at the annual New Zealand tournament, each player shall use only three bowls. The proposal, however, was defeated after a short debate. so that it will be impossible to find out what the Dominion delegates would have done if it had come their way.
