FAREWELL PARTY

Mi*, and Mrs. J. F. O’Connor grave a delightful party at their residence, Landscape Road, Epsom, last week, to wish bon voyage to Miss Kathleen Chater, who returned to Sydney by the s.s. Maunganui on Friday, The reception rooms were prettily decorated with autumn blooms and foliage. The evening: was enjoyably passed in dancing 1 , and competitions, interspersed with musical and elocutionary items given by Mr. and Mrs. P. Franchi, Mr. and Mrs. P. Dawson, Miss Laura Walker, Miss Linda Murphy, Miss Elva Black, Mr. P. Lewis, Mr. S 3. Bretnall, and Mr. Reg. Richards. Mrs. J. F. O’Connor received her guests in a. gown of brocaded ninon and gold-tiered lace. The guest of honour, Miss Kathleen Chater, wore a french gown of flesh georgette, with uneven hemline, and shoulder posy. Among those present were: Mr. and Mrs. IT. P.
