GIFTS FOR KITCHEN BROUGHT TO PARTY FOR BRIDE-ELECT

Miss Ldith Hulbert, the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Hulbert. Lake Road. Xorthcote, on the eve of her approaching marriage to Mr. R. C. Castleton, was the guest of honour at a kitchen party held on Saturday evening at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. A. Walters, Richmond Avenue. Xorthcote. The guest was the recipient of many useful articles and pretty presents and the hostess expressed the other guests’ - best wishes for her future happiness. The evening was spent merrily with competitions and dancing. To receive her guests, Mrs. A. Walters was wearing a pretty frock of fawn crepe de chine. Miss E. Hulbert wore a saxe blue taffeta frock and a shawl to tone. Among those present were:

Miss Lilian Turner, in floral crepe de chine. Alias M. McKenzie, who wore black silk morocain with side panels of georgette. PAINTED FROCK Miss Beatrice Robinson, in blue crepe de chine with hand-painted georgette panels. Aliss W. Walters, in a frock of apple green georgette and a shawl to tone. Miss C 5. Robb, wearing pale green satin with a bouffant bow. Miss X. Smith, in absinthe green crepe de chine finished with ribbon rosettes Miss Edith Meeks, who relieved her black georgette frock with scarlet and wore a shawl to match. Miss K. Smith, in a frock of pale blue crepe de chine with lace panels. I 1 Miss D. West, wearing duchess blue silk lace over satin beaute. Miss E. Martin, in white crepe de chine embroidered in red and spamish shawl. Mrs. Johnston, who wore figured crepe ! de chine. Mrs. W. J. Hulbert, in a floral frock of pe chine. Mrs. Turner, "wearing a floral crepe de Mrs. W. Smith, in ciel blue crepe de ' chine.
