AVONDALE MUNICIPAL BAND

The Avondale Municipal Band gave a band concert in the Avondale Town Hall on Sunday evening, under the conductorship of Bandmaster Mr. T. Foster. Great improvement has been shown by the band since Mr. Foster has had control of it. It is unfortunate that the efforts of the band are not better appreciated, as the attendance was small. The items played by the band were: “Gladiator’s Farewell." “Patience,” “Erin’s Isle,” “Abide With Me,” “Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.” Miss Rita Thomas sang “The Lost Chord,” and Mr.. R. A. Foster “Dream of Paradise.”
