SALE OF STONE REMOVED IN REPAIRS GOOD BUSINESS DONE British Official Wireless Reed. 11.20 a.m. RUGBY, Friday. It is announced that in order to give the public an opportunity of acquiring stone removed from the Houses of Parliament in the course of the repairs now in progress, the commissioners of works propose to dispose of the stone. Already good business has been done in the selling of old ornamental stonework to members of Parliament. Since the sale to members was announced last August there has been a good demand for gargoyles, cupolas and portions of the towers.
