CHINESE FINED £25
OVERSTAYED TIME IN N.Z. BY TWO YEARS Fong Kai On, who pleaded guilty at the Police Court this morning to staying in New Zealand longer than the terms of his temporary immigration permit allowed, was fined £25. Mr. J. Mclntosh said that On had overstayed his time by two years. He had been employed in a fruit shop in Queen Street. On said that he could pay the fine, as his employers owed him £2O. Default was fixed at two months’ imprisonment and a deportation order was made.
