BAY OF PLENTY SHOW
MANY VISITORS ATTEND Press Association WHAKATANE, Friday. The Bay of Plenty Winter Show was continued today in beautiful leather, there being again a large attendance throughout the afternoon. Many visitors were present from Tauranga, Te .’uke and Opotiki. Visitors have expressed themselves delighted with the show, which has exceeded all expectations. The splendid root crops, including mangels, turnips and pumpkins, together with the large exhibits of dairy produce, have attracted particular attention.
The show will be brought to a conclusion tomorrow night, when the result of the queen carnival, which was Inaugurated to put the Winter Show Association on a good financial footing, will be announced. TJp to today the proceeds of the carnival had amounted to over £SOO, but it is expected this amount will be considerably augmented by tomorrow night.
