Cashbox Stolen Last evening a caslibox containing £ 4 11s was stolen from Shorter’s Garage in Shortland Street. The thief had walked into the office while the man in charge was attending to a customer, picked up the box and walked out again.
Car Burned A motor-car, the property of Mr. George Heaps, of 7 Marne Avenue, Edendale, was found burning on the Howick Road, Pakuranga, at 11.30 o’clock on Thursday night. The car had been stol€*n from Quay Street some time after 10 o’clock. When found the car was blazing fiercely and there was no chance of saving it.
