OTAKI MAORI CLUB
FIRST DAY’S ACCEPTANCE J?ress A ssociatlon OTAKI, Friday. The following are acceptors for the first day of the Otaki Maori Club’s race meeting: TARARUA HACK HURDLES Of £150; 1 £ miles.
Ceremony All Right The two-year-old Ceremony was noticed doing easy work at Wanganui, and he has thickened out considerably during his spell. He should be a much more substantial three-year-old than his two-year-old appearance suggested. The injury to his knee, which sent him into retirement, has quite disappeared, and he is perfectly sound. W. Rayner is also working Thaw, Pedestal, and the last of the Absurds from the English mares Drax and Pomyris. These two last were sprinted do-wn the straight, between races at "Wanganui, on Saturday, and showed that they can handle themselves.
