21ST BIRTHDAY
GAY DANCE PARTY Miss Christina Walker wove a dainty little gown of viola mauve lame and taffeta at the dance given in honour of her coming-of-age by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Walker, at their home in Norman’s Hill Road, Onehunga, last evenipg. To welcome her guests Mrs. Walker wore a becoming gown of black and white crepe de chine. Miss Lena Walker was wearing a frock of cyclamen taffeta. Miss Ruby Walker wore an iris mauve georgette frock relieved with silver. Mrs. A. Simpson was in a white crepe de chine frock inset with silver lace.
Miss Kelly was wearing a frock of crocus mauvje georgette. Others present included: Mrs. T. Holdsworth in a black geor- I gette frock embossed with pink roses. Miss Welcome Holdsworth, who chose a frock of black taffeta with diamante relief. Miss Esther Holdsworth, who wonan apricot taffeta frock inset with silver lace. Miss Edna Stitt, wearing n picture, frock of gold satin with an overskirt of georgette. Miss Vida Stitt, whoso'black georgette frock was relieved with silver. Miss Anderson, who was in a frock of mauve crepe de chine. Miss Davis, wearily a flame-coloured crepe de clvine frock. Miss Sanft, who chose apricot satin for her froek. Miss Mary Carstairs wore a black georgette frock relieved with silver. The house was delightfully decorated with pink roses and salvia, and between dances amusing games were enjoyed.
