PROPERTY SALES AND PRICES *. -4 An auction of unusual interest was conducted at 11.30 o’clock this morning l at the rooms of Messrs. Palethorpe and Parkes, when farm sections and a beautiful country home were offered. The principal lot consisted of a modern home and 111 acres, situated on H»ll Road, opposite the residences of D. L Xathan and the Earl of Orford. The home is charmingly situated, and the property included nearly four acres of magnificent bush. There was a good attendance of active bidders, and the offerings opened at £3,000, rising in bids of £250 to £3,500, thereafter in bids of £IOO to £4,100 at which price it was withdrawn from vale. There was considerable inquiry for subdivisions of 188 acres of farm land in the same district—Manurewa. A subdivision of d 4 acres, together with buildings, was withdrawn when the bidding stood at £37 10s an acre. A property at 44 Warwick Road. Grey Lynn, comprising a section and modern bungalow, was offered today in a mortgagee sale by Mr. Ranfurly Smith. It was bought in by the mortgagee at an undisclosed price.
