FATALITY IN QUARRY

STONE FALLS ON WORKER FRACTURED SKULL RECEIVED (From Our Own Correspondent) WHANGAREI, Wednesday. Severe injuries to his head, which resulted in his death later, were received by William Graf, while working in the Public Works quarry at Tauraroa yesterday. He was working at the face of the quarry, when a large piece of stone fell on him, with the result that he received a double fracture of the skull. The injured man was admitted to the Whangarei Hospital at 7 p.m. in an unconscious condition. An operation was immediately performed and a depressed portion of the skull raised. He did uot regain consciousness, aa "i died at 2.30 this morning. Mr. Graf, who was 38 years of age, waves a wife and four children.
