SOUTHERN CROSS’S RUDDER —At noon today the Melanesian Mission steamer Southern Cross went into dock again to have her rudder refitted after repairs. BARON MACLAY FROM TEXAS —An expected arrival at Auckland about Monday is tlie steamer Baron Maclay from Galveston, Texas. She has a full cargo of sulphur for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Port Chalmers and Wanganui. She cleared Balboa on April 2S. Messrs. R. Millar and Company are the local agents. WIRRAL AT WELLINGTON —The A. and A. Line chartered steamer AVirral arrived at AVellington yesterday from New York direct. The Wirral will put out part cargo at Wellington, and will then proceed on Saturday to Auckland, Australian ports, Noumea and Raboul to unload The remainder. The New Zealand Shipping Company will act as the local agent. THE CANADIAN BRITISHER —Now discharging and loading at South Island ports, the Canadian National steamer Canadian Britisher is due at AVellington from Dunedin on Sunday to continue loading general cargo for New York, Boston and Montreal. The vessel is to leave AA'ellington for Auckland on Tuesday to complete loading, and she is to be dispatched from Auckland for New York on May 31. TARANAKI LEAVES TOWNSVILLE —The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company has been notified by cablegram that the Taranaki left Townsville on Sunday evening for Bluff, where she is due next Sunday, to commence loading for London. The vessel will afterwards load also at Port Chalmers, Timaru, Lyttelton and Wellington. The Taranaki is due at Wellington on June 6, and will leave there on June S for Gisborne and Auckland, to fill up. The vessel is to sail finally from Auckland on June 15 for London, via Panama. L. D. Nathan and Company will act as the local agents. TRANS-PACIFIC CARGO SERVICE— The AYaitemata, from Vancouver, via New AVestminster, will clear Ocean Falls on Saturday for San Francisco and Los Angeles to complete loading for Auckland, AVellington, Melbourne and Sydney. She will clear Los Angeles on June 4, and is due at Auckland on June 29. The AVaihemo left Apia on May 6 for Vancouver, where she is due on Saturday next, and will proceed thence to San Francisco, Los Angeles, Napier, Lyttelton, Dunedin, New Plymouth and Bluff. The Hauraki, from Wellington, arrived at Melbourne on Sunday, and will proceed thence on Friday next to Adelaide and Vancouver. The AVaiotapu will’ leave Port Kembla on May 28 for Fanning Island and will go thence to Vancouver. San Francisco and Los Angeles, to load for Melbourne and Sydney, also possibly Hobart. The AVairuna will leave Napier today for Lyttelton, Dunedin, Bluff and New Plymouth, and will proceed thence to Auckland and Vancouver. The AA'aikawa, which left Los Angeles on May 6. is due at Apia at 6 a.m. today, and will sail on Saturday, May 25, for Melbourne and Sydney, and will retura ty yancouvei; jUgrat*
