' Fingerprints were the strongest evidence against John O’Shannessey i n dence against John O’Shannessey inth£ W anganui Supreme Court yesterday ing and entering Christ Church and stealing a bottle of wine valued at 5s and a collection box valued at 10s. Certain prints on wine bottles were stated by Senior-Sergeant Dinnic to be thos* of accused. His Honour said that breaking a nc entering had not been proved, and jury returned a verdict accordingly However, they held that the theft hac been proved. A sentence of 12 months’ imprisonment with hard labour was imposed.
