RIALTO, AND REGENT, EPSOM
“THE FREEDOM OF THE PRESS” “Freedom of the Press,” the picture to be shown at the Rialto and Regent (Epsom) Theatres, this evening, is a fictitious parallel of the battle to the death of an American editor and members of the underworld. He was slain in his fight to break up the vice ring that centred in Canton, Ohio. “Seven Footprints to Satan,” which will also be shown, is a thrilling mystery and haunted-house style of picture, starring Thelma Todd and Creighton Hale.
Recent experiments with talking pictures at the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer studio disclosed the fact that feminine speech is most difficult to interpret, due to the fact that women have only one-half as many tones as men, and the majority of these are of nasal resonance. Special training, however, may develop the throat muscles so that this handicap is partially overcome.

Sidney Frank;;is directing this all-talking version of Frederick Lonsdale’s popi> lar play. Sue Carol and Barry Norton are to have the leading roles in Jasnes Tinlings next production for Fo;, called “The Exalted Flapper.”
