VALUELESS CHEQUE
LABOURER FOR SENTENCE
* Said by Chief-Detective Hammond to be suffering from the effects of drink. Daniel Hebley was remanded at the Police Court this morning on a charge of vagrancy, lie will appear next Monday. According to the chief detective. Hebley had already pleaded guilty to obtaining £lO from the Y.M.C.A. by means of a valueless cheque, and he was remanded for sentence on that charge also.
