THEATRE ROBBED

THIEVES AT HIS MAJESTY’S ONE WATCH STOLEN Thieves broke into His Majesty’s Theatre on Sunday evening, and after ransacking the dressing rooms behind the stage, decamped with a gold watch belonging to one of the members of the Midnight Frolics Company'. The burglars forced open a window with a crow-bar, and used the same means, once inside, to open the doors to the dressing rooms. When the members of the company arrived at the theatre yesterday they found the floors strewn with costumes, make up material, etc. In their hurry the intruders failed to discover several articles of value, including a sapphire ring belonging to a member of the company. The theatre office, in the desk of which were some articles of value, was not visited by the burglars.
