FAST NEW MOTORS
CONTINENTAL DIRT TRACKS Public interest in dirt-track racing on the Continent has been steadily falling off, and in an endeavour to hold the crowd, promoters have recently ordered from England two specially- « on9tructed machines fitted with 8-h.p. o.h.v. J.A.P. engines. Small motors are usually associated tfith the cinder sport, and these are usually quite large enough to control. The new mounts will be ridden only hy the most expert riders, and it is stated that results are being anxiously awaited.
isation of the company steps will be taken to come into line with other manufacturers. For instance, it is announced that it will once more become a member of the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, and the new car will probably be on view at next year’s Olympia.. Still another step to be taken to reawaken public interest will be the opening of a large showroom and central administration offices in Regent Street, one of the most fashionable thoroughfares in London. When these projects are in full operation the total British car output will be increased by about 60 per cent., while export figures will probably be quadrupled.
