LIKE SCENE IN VENICE
“MAY FAIR” PARADE MANY VISIT INVERCARGILL Press Association INVERCARGILL, Sunday. Tho May Fair was brought to a conclusion yesterday in beautiful weather. The sun came through strongly all day and the night was fine and clear, with a slight nip in the air. Hundreds of children were to be seen in the afternoon in fancy costume at the pets’ parade, and in the evening tho streets resembled Venice, a huge crowd in fancy dress parading the pavements. It was a wonderful finish to the four days’ gala. A significant feature was the aston-> ished delight experienced at the wonders of the May Fair by the visitors, who came by a special train from Dunedin and other parts of Otago.
