ACCIDENTALLY KILLED
INQUEST ON BOY FALL FROM BICYCLE A fractured skull was said to have caused the death of Aiian James East, a Northcote schoolboy, i aged seven, when an inquest was held this afternoon. The boy lived with his mot lie i in Princes. Street, Northcote, and was.admitted to the Auckland Public Hospi.tal on the afternoon of May 10 suffering from injuries received when he fell from his bicycle. He died the follow - ing day at 6.30 p.m. According to Edith Davies, who saw the accident, the boy East was riding down a hill in Queen Street. North - cote, at a great pace, with both feet off the pedals. He had run into another boy, and fell from his bicycle. When witness hurried to the spot, it was obvious that he was badly hurt. Another schoolboy said that deceased had been riding on the wrong side of the road. He had collided with witness, vcho ran away when he saw him lying 1 -ide the fallen machine. A verdict of accidental death was returned by the coroner, Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M.
