LIBERAL M.P. DEAD

FORMER AUSTRALIAN SENATOR HON. EDWARD A. HARNEY (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) Reed. 11 a.m. LONDON, Friday. The death has occurred of the Hon. Edward Augustine St. Aubyn Harney, Liberal member of Parliament for South Shields since 1922. He was a senator in the Commonwealth Parliament from 1901 to 1904. Mr. Harney was born in Dublin. He married in 1898, but divorced his first wife in 1922, and five years later married again. He was called to the Irish Bar in 1892, to the Australian Bar in 1897, and to the English Bar, Gray’s Inn, 190 G. He was made a K.C. in 1920.
