AGENT FACES THEFT CHARGE Stanley Michael Somerfield, who was arrested on board when the Tofu a arrived at Auckland from the Islands last Tuesday, will return to Fiji by the same vessel today. Somerfield, an agent aged 27, was charged at the Police Court on Tuesday with stealing £9 10s from his employers, Maurice Hedstrom, Ltd., at Suva on Alarch 15. This morning, Chief-Detective Hammond said that Somerfield. of his own accord, would return to Suva today. The chief-detective assured the magistrate that the police would see the man on the boat, and the case was stood down until Monday in the meantime.
