GROWING SUPPORT
AUCKLAND MAORI SOCIALS How successful the socials organised by Te Akarana Alaori Association are is shown by the increasing attendances. About 109 people were at this week’s social, and it is now the intention of the association to hold the assemblies quarterly. Europeans, Alaoris, Samoans, Rarotongans and Niueans were at the last social, at which dance music was pro - vided by a Maori orchestra. Girls of the Victoria Alaori College gave dances with long and short pois, and demonstration hakas were given by .boys from St. Stephen’s College.
