MAILS ARRIVING. —Advice from the Chief-Postmaster states that the R.M.S. Niagara, due at Auckland from Vancouver on Monday next, May 20, brings 647 bags of English and American mail for this city. RADIO FROM KENT. —Radio advice lias been received by the New Zealand Shipping Company from the Kent that the vessel is to arrive in the stream at Auckland on Wednesday afternoorp She is to berth at Queen’s Wharf. GOLDEN CROSS TO LOAD. —The American steamer Golden Cross is due back at Wellington next Friday from Lyttelton for loading. She will proceed from there to Auckland, and is to sail finallv from this port on May 27 for Honolulu and San Francisco. AUSTRALIA FOR NEW ZEALAND.— The local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company has been notified that the steamer Australia is scheduled to clear New York between June 22 and 25 with cargo for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton. Timaru and Dunedin. WESTMORELAND LEAVES CURACOA. —The Federal Company has been notified by cable that the Westmoreland left Curacoa last Tuesday morning for London and West Coast ports of Great Britain, en route from Port Chalmers. She sailed from the Otago port on April 19. MAUNGANUI FROM SYDNEY. —The Union Steamship Company’s intercolonial passenger steamer Maunganui left Sydney at 3 p.m. yesterday for this port. She is due here on Tuesday morning and is to berth at Central Wharf to discharge her passengers, mails and cargo. SOUTHERN CROSS TO DOCK. — Messrs. "Watkins and "Wallis advise that the Melanesian Mission steamer Southern Cross is to go into dock on Monday morning after 11.M.5. Dunedin undocks. The vessel will remain in dock till her rudder is removed, when she is to go out again till the rubbed is ready to be refitted. W A IPAHI'S MOVEMENTS. The Union Company’s Island fruit steamer AVaipahi. due here - on Wednesday next from the Cook Islands, is announced to sail on May 30 for Rarotonga, Mauke, Atiu, Aitutaki and Mangaia. She is to call at Mauke and Atiu to land shocks. It is not expected that she will lift any fruit cargo at those places. RAISDAL E’S DEPARTURE. Advice from the local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company states that the cargo steamer Raisdale, at present discharging basic slag from Antwerp at King’s Wharf, is to be dispatched for New Plymouth on Thursday afternoon next to complete unloading. Thence the vessel is to proceed to Westport for bunkers. She will then probably go on the phosphate NIAGARA DUE MONDAY. The Union Steam Ship Company’s Royal Mail liner Niagara left Suva at noon yesterday en route from Vancouver to Auckland. Advice has been received by the local office of the company that the vessel is due in the stream here at 11 a.m. on Monday. She will later berth at Prince’s Wharf to discharge passengers, mails and cargo The vessel is announced to leave Auckland for Sydney at 4 p.m. on Tuesday next. TRANS-PACIFIC CARGO SERVICES. —The Waitemata is due at Vancouver on May 16, and will proceed thence to Powell River, Union Bay, Sail Francisco and Los Angeles to load for Auckland, Wellington. Melbourne and Sydney. The Waihemo left Apia on May b for Vancouver, where she is due on May So. The Hauraki left Wellington on May 13, and is due at Melbourne on May 19, going thence to Adelaide, and thence to Vancouver direct. . . The Waiotapu, from Lyttelton, arrived at Melbourne at 4 a.m. on Thursday, and was to leave again at 4 p.m. yesterday for Sydney, going thence to Vancouver, via Fanning Island. The Wairuna will leave Napier on Tuesdav for Lyttelton. Dunedin, Blulf and New Plymouth, and proceed thence to Auckland, and Vancouver. The Waikawa left Los Angeles on May 6. is due at Apia on May 23, at Melbourne on June 7 and at Sydney on June 14 Approximate forward loadings at Pacific coast ports are as follow: The Waitemata will load during the second half of May and early in June for Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne and Sydney. She is to clear Los Angeles on June 9, and is due at Auckland on July 4. The Waihemo will load during the end of May and the first half of June for Napier. Lyttelton, Dunedin. Bluff and New Plymouth. The Hauraki will load in the last week iri June and the first half of July for Auckland. Wellington, Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney. RUAPEHU FROM HOME.—The New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Ruapehu arrived in the stream at Wellington at 9.45 a.m. on Thursday, from London and Southampton, via Panama. Pratique was granted, and the ship berthed at the Pipitea Wharf about 11 a.m. to disembark passengers and unload a little cargo. The Ruapehu left London on April 4 and had a fine-weather run down to Panama. On entering the Pacific fine conditions continued until the night before the ship’s arrival at Wellington. A southerly gale with thick weather prevailed until anchor was dropped. Captain J. L. B. Hunter is master of the Ruapehu and his officers are the following: Chief, Mr. G. Butler; second, Air. A.
