There was a lengthy discussion over the action? of the Mayor in putting on a man, a previous council employee, fbr casual work. The engineer was instructed to prepare plans of the projected sewerage scheme to be submitted to the Loans Board. It was also decided to engage Mr. P. C. Bunyard, of Rotorua, as consulting engineer. The Main Highways Board forwarded authority for the expenditure of £230 Is 4d in connection with the extension of the tar-sealing of the Hamilton road to the borough boundary at the western entrance to the town.
