OFFICERS ELECTED ANNUAL MEETING HELD Press Association GISBORNE, Thursday. The annual meeting of the National Council of Women was held today, when the following officers were elected members of the International Standing Committees:—Finance. Miss S. E Jackson (Auckland); Press, Miss Alice Hasten (Auckland); Peace and Arbitration, Mrs. Benton-Beach (Bunedin); Laws and Legal Status of Women. Miss Ellen Melville (Auckland); Suffrage, Miss C. Henderson (Christchurch) ; Equal Moral Standard. Miss Roland (Wellington); Public Health. D,r. Buckley Turkington (Auckland); Education, Miss E. A. Chaplin (Christchurch); Emigration and immigration, Mrs. G. E. Moreton (Dunedin); Trades and Professions, Mrs. M. J. Ford (Wellington); Child Welfare. Mrs. IST. E. Ferner (Auckland). Other officers elected were; President, Mrs. C. A. Fraer (re-elected); treasurer, Miss S. E. Jackson (Auckland) ; secretary. Miss H. K. LovellSmith; solicitor, Miss E. Melville (Auckland); Parliamentary Watch Committee, Mesdames Henry Smith and M. J. Forde, and Miss England (all of Wellington), who will elect a fourth member; international correspondence secretary. Dominion secretary, editor of National Council page in the official organ. Miss Alice Hasten; assistant editor, Miss L. M. Lovell-Smith; Pan-Pacific Constitution Committee, the president and Mrs. T. E. Taylor (Christchurch), Miss E. Melville (Auckland), Miss B. E. Carnachan (Auckland).
