Obituary

MR. A. A. O’NEILL Mr. Anthony Augustus O’Neill, who died in a private hospital on Saturday at the age of 53, was welLknown in the Taranaki and Waikato district. Air O’Neill was born at Christchurch and was educated at St. Leo s High School. He was engaged in farming at Kaponga, Taranaki, and later in the AVaikato district. He letired from active farming about seven years ago and had since lived at Epsom. Mr. O’Neill is survived by his wife and daughter, a sister, Mrs. F ' Gronin, of Dargaville. and two brothers, Messrs. T. O’Neil], of Taranaki, and W. O'Neill, of Tauranga.

MR. E. DILLON BELL The death occurred at Lowry Bay, Wellington, yesterday of Mr. Ernest Dillon Bell, third son of Sir Francis and Ladv Bell, after a protracted illness. He was 43 years of age ana was not married. Mr. Bell was educated at Wellington College and later took up farming pursuits in the Rotorva district. in recent years he suffered from ill-nealth and about a year ago he went to England for special treatment, unfortunately without gaining any physical benefit. -
