ONLY EIGHT CANDIDATES UNOPPOSED NOMINATIONS CLOSED (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) Reed. 11 a.m. CAPETOWN, Wed. Nominations for the General Elections closed today. Only eight candidates are unopposed in 148 constituencies. These are all members of the South African Party, four in the Cape and four in Natal. The result of the elections in June. 1924 was: Nationalists, 63; South African Party, 53; Labour, IS; Independent, I.
