HOUSE UNROOFED

GALE IN TARANAKI Press Association NEW PLYMOUTH, To-day. A severe gale lias been blowing in Taranaki since Tuesday. A house in New Plymouth was partly unroofed at 12.30 last night. The family had to leave the building. The debris carried away electric wires in the street, dislocating the tram service this morning. The gale smashed a launch against the wharf and sank another at her moorings. Many windows, fences and chimneys have been damaged.
