CAMBRIDGE COMPETITIONS

FESTIVAL IN OCTOBER The executive of the Cambridge Competitions Society decided that the annual festival shall commence on Monday, October 7. Dr. Jarman, Mus.D., of Launceston, Tasmania, was appointed adjudicator in the sections for vocal and instrumental music. The judge of elocutionary sections has not yet been definitely appointed. Mr.' Alf. G. Boyce was elected official accompanist. The schedules for the festival were adopted, after considerable discussion. A liberal prize list is arranged, and the prospects of the festival are most encouraging.
