LAST WALLACE REVUE PROGRAMME AT ST. JAMES George Wallace is ending his huge season in Auckland with his lbbth revue performance in Auckland this evening at St. James Theatre. How keen Auckland has been to give the comedian a thorough farewell has been proved by the fact that the whole theatre was booked up in a few hours after the box plan opened. -Off Honolulu” is the name of the "Wallace revue, but George and his company will put on special farewell turns. As the title suggests, there is a good deal of Island romance, as seen through "Wallace eyes, in the revue. George again excels in me aboard ship with most of his thoughts centred on annoying the captain and the crew. Marshall Crosby’s pleasing voice will be heard in special song items, and Marie Nyman, besides playing a leading part in many of the sketches, •will give several song numbers. Both these performers have been successful in all the Wallace productions. Si Meredith, Jack Scott and Maida Jones are among the other prominent entertainers. George will again direct the performance of the stage band. hich has a. special programme prepared. Clever dancing by the Six Rascals ballet, attired in new and original frocks, will also be a big feature of the programme. Warner Oland plays the role of the revengeful Dr. Fu Manehu in the Paramount all-talking version of the famous Sax Rohmer story, "The Insidious Dr. Fu Manvliu.’*
