MAN FALLS INTO PIT OF BOILING WATER NEW SOUTH WALES TRAGEDY Recd. 9.40 a.m. SYDNEY, Today. A terrible death overtook Holdesworth Herbert, aged 60, at the Lithgow Steel Works, when he fell into a pit of boiling water and was literally boiled to death. Several other ejnployees had their arms scalded in trying to get him out. The body was eventually recovered from the cauldron.
