MEREDITH ATKINSON DEAD

WELL-KNOWN PROFESSOR AND WRITER (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) Recd. 9.40 a.m. LONDON, Tuesday. The death has occurred of Professor Meredith Atkinson, aged 40. For four years he had been literary secretary of the New Health Sock y. also lecturer in economics and pok to the Cambridge University Board ... Extra-mural Studies. He was editor of the “Review of Reviews” (Australasia) from 1922 to 1925. Professor Atkinson was director of tutorial classes and lecturer in economic history at Sydney University from 1914 to 1917, aqd professor and lecture - in sociology at Melbourne University from 1917 to 1922. He was honorary commissioner in the Russian famine area in 1922, and he investigated relief work and refugee areas in Jugoslavia, Bulgaria. Greece aud Turkey in 1925.
