DARING WORK ALOFT

AIRPLANE MANOEUVRES IN FRANCE ISO MACHINES UP AT ONCE (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) (United Service) PARIS, Tuesday. Most daring airplane manoeuvres were witnessed today at Le Bourget. One hundred and five reconnoitring and bombing machines took off simultaneously and rose into the air. After flying three miles they formed into a compact mass. Flying at an altitude of 3,000 feet, they were under the protection of 40 chasing airplanes which had overtaken them and circled continually at a higher level. This beautiful formation scheme required the nicest precision. It was carried out without a hitch.
