MUNICIPAL BAND CONCERT
In the Town. Hall on Saturday evening next, the Muncipal Band, with assisting vocalists. will present a popular musical programme. Outstanding items will be Gounod’s “Mirella” overture: a selection from the same composer’s “Faust,” and a splendid selection on Tschaikowsky melodies. In lighter vein are the Highland Patrol, “The Wee Macgregor”; a descriptive number, “A Hunting Scene”: a cornet duo. “The Friendly Rivals.” by Messrs. Bowes and Davies: a suite in three tuneful numbers, “Italiana,” and an American sketch, “Down South.” Mrs. Laetitla Parry and Mr. Richards will sing some charming ballads. Booking arrangements are advertised.
