WAIKATO HUNT

MEET AT FENCOURT THREE KILLS AND A SPILL (From Our Own Correspondent) CAMBRIDGE, Monday. Although hounds have been out on three occasions at qualifying meets the opening of the hunting season actually took place on Saturday at Fencourt, when there was a very large attendance. The field was also very large, while the pack of 19£ couple of hounds was in splendid condition. Prior to starting out on the afternoon’s sport the field was entertained by Mr. Ross, from whose property the meet took off. Four excellent runs which took the field over the whole of the Fencourt district were enjoyed and three kills registered. After calling off the hounds the master, Mr. Wynn Brown, entertained the field to afternoon tea. During the progress of the meet Mr. Eric Wood, of Te Miro, was thrown from his mount and dislocated his elbow.
