VANISHED IN SMOKE AND FLAME.—The old Railway Hotel, on Thorne Quay, one of Wellington’s oldest buildings, was destroyed by fire on Saturday afternoon. The brigade could do little against the flames, which soon gained a good hold on the old wooden structure.
