ATTEMPT TO ENTER SHOP SECURELY BARRED Burglars who attempted to gain entrance to Todd Bros.’ tailor’s shop. Great South Road. Otahuhu, in the early hours yesterday morning, were frustrated by the fact that the door was secured by iron bolts top and bottom. To enable them to manipulate a patent lock from the inside, the intruders broke a pane of glass in the door, which, however, was held secure. The visitors then forced an entrance through a window at the rear of the premises leading to the workroom, but their progress was blocked by another door. which, though attacked with some tool, held securely.
