MEN DISSATISFIED NO CONFIDENCE IN BOARD Complaining that not one appeal by the Auckland Tramways Municipal Omnibus Employee’s Union had succeeded in the last 10 years, members have expressed strong dissatisfaction with the Tramways Appeal Board. A T two * largely-attended meetings held this week consequent upon the rejection by the board of an appeal bv Thomas Massicks, of Mount Eden, against his dismissal from the Tramways Department, the union passed a resolution stating that it viewed with concern the findings of the Appeal Board over the last 10 years. The union resolved: "We respectfully ask that the whole matter be investigated with a view to reconstituting the board in such a manner as will restore our confidence in it, and f hat the Minister of Public Works be requested to meet a deputation from the union on the question when he next visits Auckland.” The union will seek the support of f he Parliamentary Labour Party, Auckland Labour Representation Comjnittee, the Alliance of Labour, the Tramways Federation and other unions in this city.
